Wcartykule przedstawiono niektóre ważniejsze kierunkli zmian w pieniężnych dochodach i wydatkach ludności regionu tarnobrzeskiego, jakie zaistniały w latach 1957-1962 w wyniku realizacji procesu uprzemysławiania tych terenów.

The main purpose of this study was an analysis of the changes in the income and expenditures of the inhabitants of the Tarnobrzeg region brought about by its industrialization. The analysis revealed an important influence of the investments of the sulphur industry on the living standards of the inhabitants of the region, manifested not only by increased consumption of articles of primary necessity, but also of permanent goods satisfying the growing needs of the inhabitants. This phenomenon is also reflected by significant changes in the structure of the goods consumed. The changes in the income and expenditures of the inhabitants of the Tarnobrzeg region revealed by the analysis represent a modest material on which, nevertheless, certain administrative and economic decisions can already be undertaken. This is possible because the phenomena and trends disclosed by the analysis are highly dynamic, having appeared within a short time on the background of new social and economic conditions. The analysis does not include all the difficult and complex problems connected with the changed living standard of the population, but is a contribution to the study of broader problems, the constant surveillance of which is now becoming imperative.
