The problem of criteria of the optimum development of national economy has been considered on the basis of 'transformations, iwhich are caused toy the course of reproduction. Reproduction has been extended within the determined period of time, which is called the economic period. Accordingly, the paper has been divided into considérations concerning: 1) the reproduction of social product, where the criteria have been discussed of optimalization of the work sphere activity; 2) the reproduction of man power, where criteria of the consumer have ibeen discused; 3) the reproduction of economical relations, where contrasts have been pointed out of aims, which are characteristic for the community; the community appears in both spheres in two different rôles (in the work sphere - as a producer employee; in the consumption sphere - as a consumer). The possibility has been discussed of the conciliation of those contrasts in the conditions of communism. The economic system will reach the optimum, if the postulate is completed of concordant integration of the man interests - the man, as a producer employee, iwho spends his man power in the work sphere, and as a consumer, who reproduces the man power in the consumption sphere. In the conclusion, the Author discusses some other opinions on the problem of optimization of the development of national economy, which are dealt with in the literature. (original abstract)
