Przedstawiono przyczyny i historyczny rozwój integracji gospodarczej w ogólności. Na tym tle opisana została droga do utworzenia Rady Wzajemnej Pomocy Gospodarczej oraz cele tej organizacji.

First an outline of the historical development of the international economic cooperation has been presented, the latter being treated as an essential factor of the economic progress. Next, the birth and the organization of the Council for Mutual Economic Aid have been discussed as well as a number of problems facing the CMEA at present and to be solved in future. The most important among them are: creating a price system and establishing a rate of currency exchange within the CMEA. (original abstract)
