Przedstawiono sytuację w zakresie cen zaopatrzeniowo-inwestycyjnych do roku 1970, założenia reformy tych cen ze stycznia 1971 roku oraz własne szacunki efektów finansowych zmian cen zbytu w przemyśle.

Up to the year 1970 inclusive in Poland was used a cost canon of the prices ot capital goods (i. e. prime costs of production plus standarized, amounting to 3 - 5 per cent margin of profit). This canon did not take into account the differences in capital intensity and at the same tim simplified continual rises of the prices of capital goods easy. In spite of frequent reforms of prices the system of prices existing up to now was very imperfect and did not promote the optimalization of production. A recently introduced reform of prices applied a mixed canon i. e. a uniform margin of cost was fixed according to the value of prime costs and employment of fixed assets. In addition a canon of a demand for profit was used. The author discusses - on the basis of inter-branch flows - the economical and financial effects of the reform and gives his own canon of the system of prices as the one used at present does not promote limiting of either capital or material intensity of production.
