Abstrakty

Badacze ruchów społecznych stosunkowo dużo miejsca poświęcają problematyce tożsamości. Stało się to szczególnie widoczne, gdy ukonstytuowana w latach 50. i 60. teoria ruchów społecznych - po latach dominacji podejść związanych z teorią działania zbiorowego oraz po dokonanym wiatach 60. zwrocie w kierunku koncepcji związanych z teorią wyboru społecznego - okazała zainteresowanie nieco bardziej kulturowymi analizami działań zbiorowych. Przejście to nastąpiło na gruncie koncepcji społecznego konstrukcjonizmu i tzw. teorii nowych ruchów społecznych. Tożsamość uczestników ruchów społecznych stała się jednym z kluczowych tematów analizy, choć, co należy podkreślić, była traktowana w bardzo różny sposób. (fragment tekstu)

The aim of this article is to present the role of the concept of collective identity in a comprehensively (widely) understood sociological reflection on social movements. Since the 1960s the role of identity in the theoretical and empirical considerations has decisively increased. The main subjects of interest are first of all: sources of identity, coherence of identity and its influence on differences in the level of engagement of the participants. Apart from the theoretical discussion of these problems the author presented in this article also fragments of inter-views with those participating in social movements, which illustrate some of the theses discussed.
