Abstrakty

W artykule podjęto problematykę analizy efektywności jednostek sektora publicznego metodą nieparametryczną DEA. Badania takie do tej pory były rzadko prezentowane w polskiej literaturze przedmiotu. W dotychczasowych badaniach prowadzonych w Polsce, dotyczących efektywności sektora publicznego, koncentrowano się na badaniach ogólnej kondycji finansowej, zaś zagadnienie efektywności było traktowane bardzo ogólnikowo. In the article the authors deal with the analysis of the efficiency of public sector by means of the non-parametric DEA method. In the article the initial study results concerning the efficiency of the Public Prosecutor's Offices in Poland are presented that take into consideration technical efficiency and the economy of scale. Such research has not been undertaken in Poland so far. The existing results of similar studies on the public sector efficiency have focused merely on general financial performance and the efficiency issue has not been examined thoroughly.
