Abstrakty

System Rezerwy Federalnej (SRF) jest najważniejszą władzą monetarną świata i podejmowane przez niego decyzje mają skutki nie tylko dla gospodarki amerykańskiej, ale i globalnej. Dlatego celem niniejszych analiz jest przedstawienie w zarysie instrumentów dostarczania płynności oferowanych przez tę instytucję. Szczególny nacisk zostanie położony na narzędzia zaimplementowane w związku z bieżącym kryzysem finansowym, dlatego horyzont czasowy będzie obejmował działania od początku zaistnienia sytuacji kryzysowej do końca lutego 2009 roku. Przedmiotem analizy będą narzędzia oferowane nie pojedynczym podmiotom, ale wszystkim instytucjom depozytowym i dealerom uprawnionym do dokonywania operacji otwartego rynku z Rezerwą Federalną. A traditional role of a central bank is to provide liquidity to banks. This function gains on great importance during financial crisis. At that time central banks adjust their tools to satisfy increased liquidity needs. The aim of this article is to present a diversity of traditional and new forms of lending to depository institutions as well as Primary Dealers that has been implemented by the Federal Reserve during last two years.
