Artykuł jest próbą budowy modelu społeczeństwa informacyjnego , a w jego ramach - informatyzacji gospodarki. Autor wskazuje na kierunki dalszych poszukiwań i ustaleń w tym względzie. Przedstawiony model jest jedynie pewną teoretyczną propozycją matematycznego modelu umożliwiającego całościową koordynację prac statystycznych. Jego praktyczne zastosowanie wymaga jednakże spełnienia wielu warunków. (fragment tekstu)

Dynamic development of information economy and Information society is related to emergence of many various challenges. One of them is a quickly growing demand for a wide set of various users of information. The fulfilment of this demand is connected with undertaken attempts of collecting data using various methods (e.g. by sampling surveys or usage of administrative registers). A variety of ways leading to the required information, a necessity to reduce the respondents' burdening, result in complex coordination of statistical surveys and is connected with a dilemma concerning the choice of optimal method of their collection. The process of optimization of statistical surveys requires a creation of some map of the full information system, including precise definitions of the whole set of input infor-mation, recognition of possible sources of data collection and available methods of trans- formation. This article is an attempt to precise a theoretical model which would allow to per-form optimization of the process of statistical surveys. The complexity of this problem results in the fact that the presented model has a form of multi-stage and multi-criterion issue, combining economic and qualitative aspects. (original abstract)
