Przedstawiono i omówiono dane dotyczące eksportu i importu krajów członkowskich Unii Europejskiej w latach 2008-2010.
In 2010, there was still maintained boom in international trade. According to the estimates made by the World Trade Organisation, the world exports grew in 2010, in real terms, by 14.5%, after the fall in 2009 by 12.0%. Thus, the volume of world exchange reached in the end of 2010 the level it had before the crisis. The WTO economists assess that the growth of turnover of the international trade significantly contributed to exit of the world economy out of recession. However, the situation was very different in individual regions of the world. A relatively low growth of activity of the export sector was noted by the European Union, even compared to other developed economies. According to the WTO, the volume of EU exports increased in 2010 by 11.4%. A relatively low dynamics of exports resulted mainly from the fact that the largest part of trade exchange of the EU member states is carried out within this faction. Among the 'old' Union countries, a relatively high dynamics was manifested by Germany's exports (first of all, owing to an increase in sales to third countries). A considerable growth of German exports increased demand of the export sector for intermediate goods growth of sales in subsidiaries of German corporations (what was reflected not only in the growth of direct exports to Germany but also in exports to other countries, particularly those of Central and Eastern Europe). Despite the growth, the value of imports in all the 27 EU countries was in 2010 lower than before the crisis. (original abstract)
