Celem artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu najważniejszych badań opublikowanych w ostatnich 20 latach, których przedmiotem były kryteria wyboru partnera do międzynarodowej spółki joint venture (MSJV). We wnioskach zostały wskazane te kryteria, które mimo różnic w zakresie czasowym i geograficznym można uznać za najważniejsze. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The author has made a review of the most important studies examining partner selection criteria to international joint ventures published within the past 30 years. In conclusions, the author points to those criteria, which, despite the differences in time and the geographic scope of the studies, can be considered crucial in selecting a local partner to IJV. Furthermore, the author states that partner selection is one of the essential steps in IJV forming process. From an analysis conducted by author it follows that in order to make a right partner selection, a company needs to know, first of all, which criteria should be used to select a partner, in order to maximize the probability of selecting a partner coherent with the company's expectations.
