Introducing the euro on Poland within a currency system perspective

While the vast majority of opinions favour the introduction of the euro currency in Poland, the concrete date is being disputed. The present currency system in Poland is based on the regulations of the Law on the National Bank of Poland of 29 August 1997. The choice between the national currency: the zloty and the euro became especially significant in face of the 2008/2009 financial crisis. Besides potential threats connected with the introduction of the euro in Poland, direct benefits are to be expected. (original abstract)
