W niniejszym opracowaniu starano się przedstawić dyskusję dotyczącą przesłanek asymetrycznych reakcji cenowych oraz konsekwencji dla modelowania makroekonomicznego i sugestii odnośnie do polityki monetarnej. Rozważania zilustrowano analizami cenowymi dla rynków wybranych produktów oraz dla zagregowanych wskaźników cenowych w Polsce. (fragment tekstu)

Many empirical analyses prove the existence of asymmetric reactions on the markets of various goods. The asymmetries are revealed by different responses of given prices to increases or decreases of other prices. Although the author's own estimations confirm the asymmetric behavior of consumer good and fuel prices, they apply to a relatively short time series and an economic system under substantial changes. On the other hand, the analyses conducted for aggregated price indicators support the implications of Ball-Mankiw's model. (original abstract)
