Omówiono podstawowe zmiany w gospodarce Chin w zakresie wzrostu gospodarczego, modelu rozwoju oraz struktury gospodarki. Poruszono kwestie otwierania się Chin na gospodarkę światową i liberalizacje handlu oraz tworzenia się klasy średniej w Chinach i zmiany wzorców konsumpcji. Przedstawiono napływ zagranicznych inwestycji zagranicznych do Chin, znaczenie chińskich inwestycji na świecie, problematykę internacjonalizacji działalności badawczo-rozwojowej R&D w kontekście przenoszenia jej do Chin. Zaprezentowano także zjawiska związane z działalnością przedsiębiorstw w Chinach, znaczenie sektora usług oraz dalsze perspektywy rozwoju gospodarczego Chin w formie scenariuszy, długoterminowych prognoz i głównych kierunków rozwoju.
