The Research Over the Similarities and Differences of Consumption Structures, with the Application of the Distance Analysis

Abstrakty
Przystępując do porównań struktur konsumpcji różnych grup społeczno-zawodowych ludności, należy zwrócić uwagę, ażeby przedmiotem porównań były gospodarstwa domowe jednorodne. Wpływ bowiem, jaki wywiera dochód czy skład osobowy rodziny na konsumpcję sprawia, że gospodarstwa zróżnicowane tak pod względem materialnym, jak i sytuacji demograficznej, są ze sobą nieporównywalne. Różnice w strukturach konsumpcji tych gospodarstw wynikają bowiem nie tylko z faktu przynależności do określonej grupy społeczno-zawodowej, ale w znacznym stopniu z różnic w dochodach tych gospodarstw czy w ich składzie osobowym. Dlatego też w niniejszym artykule porównanie struktur konsumpcji gospodarstw chłopskich, dwuzawodowych i pracowniczych zostało przeprowadzone w oparciu o gospodarstwa w miarę jednorodne, tj. posiadające zbliżoną wielkość dochodu oraz tę samą liczbę osób. In the paper the author has compared the structures of expenses in peasant households, those where the bread-winner works also in (industry, and those where agriculture is the only source of income. Attention was turned to the similarities and differences occuring in the expense structures of these households, as well as the changes developing in the expense structure alongside the growing level of linkage between the household and agricultural activities. The main focus of research lies in the problem of measuring the degree of differentiation in structures of expenses incurred by peasant households, both double-employment, and solely agricultural. The author presents various measures of similarities used in research over the structure of expenses and suggests his own measuring method comparing there types of expenditures. Next, utilizing this method, he attempts to determine the level of similarity between peasant households - double-employment ones and the solely agricultural ones, as well as their mutual spatial relation.
