Progressive decline of the US dollar has provoked worldwide discussion about potential changes in the international monetary system. The aim of this article is to present the situation of the U.S. dollar in the various domains of the international currency: official and private, which may be raised in response to the topie question is demise of U.S. dollar as the international currency possible. The research was based on the statistics of the ECB, BIS and IMF. The study used the following research methods: qualitative and quantitative observations, reconnaissance forecasting methods - historical analysis, economic and aggregated models, methods for comparing the horizontal, vertical and balance. Studies suggest that the dollar will remain the international currency.(original abstract)
