Wyjaśniono pojęcie kapitału społecznego oraz opisano konteksty jego zastosowań.

Bernd Hamm writes that the notion of the social capital is not an easy and unambiguous one. It appears in a number of various relations and contexts, and attributing it to the scientific discipline - sociology does not solve the problem finally. Sociology too, as a scientific discipline, lacks unambiguity. We should not be agitated by this fact, as it concerns many other scientific notions as well, and signifies that the explanation can be found not at the beginning but at the end of the research. Furthermore, it often happens that the notion depends on the epistemological position of the one who uses it. Therefore I can make here some remarks that will not explain the notion itself, but are going to support the discussion over collective bridging the gaps, which will make it possible to surmount the deep interdisciplinary divisions in its understanding.
