(fragment tekstu)
Human capital on the Polish labour market, in paper of Elżbieta Kryńska, means the resource of knowledge, abilities and experience of corporate body of human resources. This study aims at answering the question of what its influence on the employees' positions is and how it is estimated by the employers on the Polish labour market. The first part of the study presents analysis of labour demand, unemployment threats and renumerations for people with different levels of education. The results of the analyses have shown that under the system transformation period the most effective, from the point of view of gaining competitive position of an employee on the Polish market, were investments and education. It resulted from better preparation of people qualified for work and their easier adaptation to new needs required by market economy subjects. In the second part of the study has been carried out an analysis of adjusting the vocational preparation of the Polish human resources for the structure of demand for jobs requred by employers. From the results of the analyses it can be seen that the demand has not been fully met and the employers cope with difficulities in appointing candidates to the posts. The problems deal mainly with two groups of employees - skilled workers and highly qualified specialists. In conclusions, therefore, attention has been drawn to the neccesity of development of school and extraschool educational system, a particular emphasis being put on permanent education.
