Podstawowym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zmian strukturalnych rolnictwa RFN do roku 1987, a więc przed zjednoczeniem obu państw niemieckich. Wyniki tych badań mogą być pomocne przy ocenach porównania tego kraju z innymi państwami europejskimi, w tym byłej NRD i Polski. (fragment tekstu)

The main task of the paper has been the presentation of structural changes in the agriculture of the F.R.G. up to the year 1987. The obtained results of the investigation may be helpful while comparing the country in question with other European countries. The authors have discussed the demographic situation of the F.R.G. with a particular consideration of employment in agriculture, forms of ownership of production means in that branch of Germany's economy and the size and structure of farms. The subsequent problem put under analysis has been the structure of arable land and crops and an analysis of the distribution of that structure and its estimation. The research has been concluded with the presentation of the development trend of basic crops and development trend of animal breeding structure. In the research the authors have made use of statistical and mathematical methods which allow for an objective estimation of the analyzed structural changes in German agriculture.(original abstract)
