Zaprezentowano podstawową klasyfikację instytucji kredytowych we Francji. Omówiono strukturę francuskiego systemu bankowego oraz jego reformę.

The banking and financial system of France has undergone a continuous evolution. On the one hand, new institutions that constitute that system come into existence and, on the other, the role of some of them changes significantly (e. g. the role of Banque de France). After World War II a few important dates should be mentioned that constituted landmarks in the evolution of the French banking system: 1945 the act of nationalization and specialization of crediting institutions,1966-1967 acts were passed the goal of which was the despecialization and restructing of banks,1982-1984 next stage of the nationalization of banks and an introduction of the bank act that initiated a new classification of crediting institutions, 1986 reprivatization of the banking sector.
