Companies nowadays must realize that a constant state of change is becoming the status quo. The time horizon for strategic decisions is getting shorter. Strategic planning must be flexible and much more dynamic with organizational flexibility to react when challenges in its environment occur. This article examines the changes in the corporate approach to strategic planning for a sustainable Corporation from creating a new position in the C-suit- the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) through redesigning the tools for strategy formulation and evaluation.
