A Principal Component Analysis in Term Structure Modeling
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
The modeling of term structure is a challenging issue in the contemporary financial econometrics. One of the methods often used in this field of research is the principal component analysis. The aim of the paper is to indicate components responsible for the interest rates changes. The empirical analysis presented in the paper was based on WIBOR in the period of 2006-2010. The paper shows that there exist minor differences in the results of the principle component analysis when the periods of increasing and decreasing interest rates are compared. (original abstract)
