W dobie postępującej globalizacji i nasilającej się konkurencji międzynarodowej sprawne powiązania ze sferą naukowo-badawczą warunkują innowacyjność i konkurencyjność przedsiębiorstw. Dla rozwoju systemów innowacyjnych, zapewnienia stałego i szerokiego dostępu do źródeł wiedzy oraz ciągłego rozszerzenia zakresu współpracy istotna jest systematyczna ocena i bieżący monitoring wspólnie podejmowanych inicjatyw. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie koncepcji pomiaru współpracy pomiędzy uczelnią wyższą a przemysłem opartej na modelu tzw. mapy sukcesu. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The article was formulated within the framework of a research project No. N N115 257434 entitled The conditions of enterprise innovativeness in an industry region - on the basis of the example of the Silesian Voivodeship. An increasing significance of the collaboration between the spheres of science and industry implies the development of innovativeness in enterprises by means of extended access to R&D resources on the one hand, and a growing openness of universities in search of additional financial sources on the other hand. What is more, the collaboration between science and industry facilitates as well as accelerates the introduction of innovations to the market what contributes to the increase in competitive advantage of business. While firms increasingly engage in formal alliances with universities, there is a lack of tools to assess the outcomes of such collaborations. In the paper a performance measurement system for university-industry collaborations was proposed on the basis of a model by M. Perkmann, A. Neely, and K. Walsh. The conception based on success map from existing research on university-industry relations, indicating the causal relationships underpinning successful alliances. The success map distinguishes between different process stages, including inputs, in-process activities, outputs and impacts. In the paper was discussed specific measures for each of these stages, and how they should be deployed. It provides R&D managers with a tool for assessing university-industry alliances that is prospective, reliable and multidimensional. Based on author's deliberations an attempt to verify the introduced concept will be undertaken. It will take place by means of in-depth research carried out in an economic practice.
