Abstrakty

Kluczową sprawą dla integracji łańcucha dostaw staje się dostęp do coraz większej liczby danych, możliwość ich przetwarzania oraz współdzielenia z partnerami w łańcuchu dostaw. W ten sposób łańcuch dostaw powoli przekształca się w tzw. łańcuch wartości (value chain), w którym powiązania z partnerami ulegają wzmocnieniu i utrwaleniu w procesie wzajemnego usprawniania kanałów komunikacyjnych i zapewniania interoperacyjności systemów informatycznych.

Research and observations, carried out among the enterprises globally, have proved recently that incorrect data in information flows have a significantly negative impact on the efficiency of supply chains. The wrong data put a company at risk of running considerable costs, which are often difficult to be recognized and quantified. On the other hand, the technology sphere, supporting current physical flows of goods, has been recently exceedingly dynamic. Therefore, the progress in the development of IT technology, which supports supply chains, requires similar progress in standardization of information flows. The market itself plays a significant role here. The article presents the results of the monographic research and analysis on individual cases of companies that have implemented GS1 identification and communication standards. It also refers to the vision of a future supply chain, which was developed within an international project "2020: The Future Value Chain". (original abstract)
