The author analyses and evaluates the relationship between the changes in the branch structure of materiał and energy consumption and the changes in the materiał and energy consumption indices of the nationalized industries in Poland in the years 1980-1987. The irwestigation afforded possibilities for the determination of the dynamics and directions of changes in the structure of industry from the standpoint of the reduction in its materiał and energy consumption indices.(original abstract)
