Abstrakty

Omówiono pojęcie i genezę segmentacji rynku pracy. Przedstawiono koncepcję segmentacji rynku pracy.

In the article the author has presented the segmentation of labour market as an important aspect of the investigation of that market. The author has discussed, amnong others, the notion, origin and conceptions of labour market segmentation encountered in the foreign economic literature, The author has also made use of Polish experiences in that field out of which there follows that under the conditions of the centrally controlled economy the segmentation of labour market has been mainly determined by such factors as economic power of economic organizations and professions occurring in the market. The author has also presented preliminary conclusions from the investigations of labour market segmentation in Poland in the year 1990 that is in the initial stage of the transformation of the centrally controlled economy into market economy. Attention has been drawn, among others, to the occurence of three clearly marked segments in the population of the unemployed that is workers who lost their jobs as a result of cuts in employment, graduates of various types of schools, people who never worked and those working irregularly.(original abstract)
