Abstrakty
In order to create new products and adapt them to changing environment, enterprises need highly-developed capability to survive. Furthermore, to enhance the innovation capabilities, enterprise requires objective assessment of its position. Innovation capability assessment is a method of evaluating the innovation capability of enterprises. Additionally, it reviews strategic decisions about where an enterprises intend to be in the future and what direction of action they need to follow, to succeed. 'Total operations solutions'is an approach, that can be used not only to examine and identify organisational potential strengths, but also to improve its weaknesses. Moreover it might contribute to sustainable improvement of innovation capability. This paper explores assessment approaches, that Libyan business enterprises could consider enhancing both the enterprise competitiveness and growth performance, as well as, practising innovations.
