Scientific and technical progress, globalisation, striving for sustainable development, variety of applied technologies and materials, more and more free flow of commodities -unfortunately often threatening users' health safety - these factors enforce solving problems of quality and certification of clothing and footwear. The following factors determine problems of clothing and footwear' quality: quality of applied materials, innovative technological processes of manufacturing, design and structural solutions that define functional values related to fashion and user's comfort. This paper undertaking basic quality problems of clothing as a system presents selected aspects of technological process of manufacturing leather and textiles in the context of relation structure - comfort of use. They affect clothing and footwear' quality in a deciding way. It was necessary to narrow the study down to main trends, selected technologies and materials determining quality. (original abstract)

Postęp naukowo-techniczny, globalizacja, dążenie do zrównoważonego rozwoju, różnorodność stosowanych technologii i materiałów, coraz bardziej swobodny przepływ towarów - niestety często zagrażających bezpieczeństwu zdrowotnemu użytkowników, wymuszają rozwiązanie problemów jakości i certyfikacji odzieży i obuwia. Problemy jakości odzieży i obuwia determinują: jakość stosowanych materiałów, innowacyjne procesy technologiczne wytwarzania, wzornictwo i rozwiązania konstrukcyjne, które określają wartości użytkowe głównie związane z modą i komfortem użytkowania. W opracowaniu podejmującym podstawowe problemy jakości ubioru jako systemu, przedstawiono wybrane aspekty procesów technologicznych wytwarzania skóry i materiałów włókienniczych w kontekście relacji struktura - komfort użytkowania w decydujący sposób wpływające na jakość odzieży i obuwia. Z konieczności ograniczono się do głównych trendów, wybranych technologii i materiałów determinujących jakość. (abstrakt oryginalny)
