Do oszacowania ocen parametrów regresji zastosowano estymator uogólnionej metody momentów (generalized method of moments - GMM).

The aim of the study was to estimate the influence of FDI and its components (equity capital, reinvested earnings, other capital) on domestic investment in selected Central and Eastern European countries. Empirical analysis was conducted for Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Hungary in 2000-2008. Econometric analysis revealed that aggregated flows of FDI were not statistically significant factors in explaining domestic investment. Among three components of FDI, only equity capital positively influenced the level of domestic investment. The increase of other capital share in FDI weakened investment activity and reinvested earnings did not affect gross fixed capital formation at all. These results suggest that from the viewpoint of the host economy not only the volume of FDI inflows is important, but also their internal structure (the profile of FDI inflows). (original abstract)
