The paper aims at introducing the reader with selected aspects of higher education didactics in the field of economic science in Hungary providing the University of Miskolc as an example. Although the University's role in Hungarian higher education system remains insignificant, it can be presented as an illustration of successful adjustment to changing educational requirements considering the enlargement of didactic offer. The University, with its 250 years of history of technical training, formed the Faculty of Economics, which is now strongly focused on the European Union studies. The paper was enriched with the brief presentation of main empirical features describing the didactic activity of the Faculty of Economics. (fragment of text)
