Abstrakty

Z postępowania analitycznego przeprowadzonego przez autora wynika, iż tzw. modele dwupoziomowe charakteryzują się wyższą efektywnością niż klasyczne modele regresji, przy czym wykorzystanie zmiennych z obu poziomów, tj. tzw. wyższego i niższego, pozwala uniknąć "błędów ekologicznych", a więc wynikających z interpretacji wyników na poziomie najniższym, na podstawie analizy przeprowadzonej na danych wyższego poziomu. The aim of the paper is to apply a multi-level approach in the analysis of the area of individual farms. Thanks to the analysis of information from administrative registers and integration of those registers, particularly: GEO-INFO system, land and buildings records, geodetic surveying of the network of water and sewage systems, PESEL register and Regional Data Bank it was possible to reconstruct individual farms. They were described by means of a series of variables measured at different levels. These variables may be used in economic studies. The author makes an attempt to solve the problem of using in one model the variables measured at the lowest level ( farm) and the variables measured at a higher level (a rural community) - the so-called contextual variables. The area of an individual farm played the role of the explained variable here. The reason why this variable was selected was the fact that it plays the main role in the characteristics of agrarian structure of farms and rural communities. The studies show that using in the model variables measured not only at the level of a farm (number of plots, number of points) but also those measured at a higher level (yield of the basic crops, share of agrarian tax in the rural community's own incomes and the type of rural community) improves the quality of the constructed two-level models and makes it possible to avoid the so-called ecological errors. It was also proved that the two-level models are characterized by better properties than the classical models of regression. (original abstract)
