Przedmiotem opracowania jest analiza tej formy pomocy; przedstawiono wykorzystanie płatności ONW w Wielkopolsce na tle Polski i pozostałych krajów UE. (fragment tekstu)

Support for less favoured areas (LFA) is the one of the measure of rural development co-financed by EAGGF - Guarantee Section. The paper presets resources of Utilization Agricultural Areas (UAA) that fall under LFA applying the conditions set out in Articles 13-21 of Regulation (EC) no 1257/1999. These areas account for 57% of the European Union's UAA. The rate varies considerably between EU member countries and also the average LFA payment per beneficiary holding and per ha. The LFA payments are intended to compensate farmers for the additional costs associated with farming in less favoured areas and to ensure the continuation of farming and viable rural communities in what are often more remote areas. Beneficiary holdings as a proportion of all holdings vary between 95% in Finland to 0,4% in the Netherlands. In Poland beneficiary holdings represents 17,7% of the total number of holdings.
