Omówiono działania Unii Europejskiej w zakresie regulacji obszaru: edukacji, kształcenia i młodzieży.

In the EU countries "European education" is understood as the maintenance of certain traditions and the universal values that characterize democratic societies. This article presents documents related to education in the EU. Included among these are: the Bologna Process, the Lisbon Strategy, the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), signed on the 18th April 1951 in Paris, the Treaty of Rome, establishing the European Economic Community (EEC), signed in Rome on the 25th March 1957, the Single European Act (SEA), signed in Luxembourg and the Hague. Provided for the adaptations required for the achievement of the Internal Market, the Treaty on European Union was signed in Maastricht on the 7th February 1992. The Maastricht Treaty created a new structure with three "pillars" both political and economic. These are as follows the European Union (EU), the Treaty of Amsterdam, signed on the 2nd October 1997, the Treaty of Nice, signed on the 26th February 2001. Based on the Treaties, the EU institutions can adopt legislation which is then implemented by the Member States. The European Union is based on the rule of law. This means that everything that it does is derived from treaties which are agreed on voluntarily and democratically by all Member States. Previously signed treaties have been changed and updated to keep up with developments in society. Education is the most important aspect of a young person's life. A young person who studies hard will be a good worker and a citizen who is aware of his rights in the future. (original abstract)
