Expenditures of private housholds in selected European countries

Abstrakty

There are still major differences between established and recent member states of European Union in terms welfare, living conditions, and private property. Additionally, major differences between CEE member states can be perceived analysing macro data provided by the Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT) and national statistical officies. Houshold incomes and expenditures for daily life (e.g. nutrition, housing, and mobility) are useful indicators for the comparison of the living conditions in different countries. European transportation, taxation, environmental, and social policies it is necessery to learn about development of market prices and expenditures of private households. The objective of this contribution is to describe the differences in incomes and expenditures for everyday life in selected and recent European Countries (i.e. Austria, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Romania)
