Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zakresu wykorzystania handlu elektronicznego w Polsce na tle innych krajów europejskich. Obiektem zainteresowania są gospodarstwa domowe oraz przedsiębiorstwa. Analizą objęto dane statystyczne GUS oraz Eurostat-u z lat 2002-2009. (fragment tekstu)

The objective of the article was to identify the scope of the use of electronic commerce in economic activities carried out by households and enterprises in European countries, with a particular consideration given to Poland. The research material was formed by the CSO and Eurostat data. On the grounds of carried out analysis, the author states that the use of e-commerce both in Polish households and at enterprises is significantly less popular than in many European Union countries. The task for manufacturers, through soundness and timeliness of services, is therefore to convince the society that it is worth to use e-commerce, while the task for entities administering the EU funds is to present the benefits brought by electronic commerce.
