Abstrakty

Autorka w wyniku przeprowadzonego dla lat 1992-2001 badania stwierdza, iż nastąpiły pozytywne zmiany w poziomie wykształcenia zatrudnianych kobiet polegające na wzroście udziału kobiet z wykształceniem wyższym. Kobiety najczęściej są pracownikami najemnymi, a czterokrotnie rzadziej pracodawcami lub pracującymi na własny rachunek. Wraz z postępującymi zmianami w systemie funkcjonowania gospodarki, obserwuje się wzrost liczby zatrudnionych kobiet w sektorze prywatnym, a spadek w sektorze publicznym. Spada także udział pracujących kobiet w rolnictwie i przemyśle a wzrasta w usługach. (fragment tekstu)

The aim of the paper is to find out basic regularities characteristic of the female employment in Poland in the years 1992-2001. The purpose of research was to study the structure of working women according to certain social, professional and demographic criteria and to evaluate changes in this structure. To achieve this, the author used methods of description of the structure of phenomena and the concept of a synthetic approach to changes occurring in the structure of a phenomenon suggested by H. Linnemann. The analysis showed that middle-aged women had the largest share in the population of working women. In the period under analysis significant positive changes occurred in the level of education of the women employed: the number of women with primary education decreased and the number of female university graduates increased. Most frequently women are hired employees on a contract basis. Four times less frequently women are employers or self-employed. When radical changes in the system of the Polish economy started, the number of women working in the private sector increased considerably, however, the number of those employed in the public sector decreased. The research also showed that the share of women working in the agricultural and industrial sectors is slowly decreasing in favour of the sector of services. The analysis of synthetic changes in the structure of female employment conducted as regards the most important criteria made it possible to state that their intensity and dispersion are moderate and relatively stable in the dynamic approach.
