Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka narodowej Strategii Zrównoważonego Rozwoju na przykładzie Francji. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na elastyczność koncepcji wyrażającą się w jej dostosowywaniu do zmieniających się uwarunkowań wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych, zwłaszcza w zakresie pomiaru jej efektów.(fragment tekstu)

The negative consequences of globalization, leading to increased occurrence of global problems, have become one of the reasons for seeking alternative models of economic development of countries and regions. One of them, growing at an increasing scale, is undoubtedly the idea of sustainable development. The strategy currently implemented in France, seems to correspond to the challenges of the modern economy. A new approach to measurements of the economic and social development, included in the implementation of the French challenges of sustainable development, should contribute to a more objective and reliable diagnosis of the situation in the individual dimensions to be evaluated. Measures taken in France can become a specific pattern of activity undertaken at the national level in other EU member states, also in Poland.(original abstract)
