Using participatory action research, I advance the argument that higher learning institutions and departments engaged in teaching business disciplines should begin changing the way they provide learning and service to their students. The study draws (1) from the literature addressing relevance of teaching to practice in a phenomenonological hermeneutic approach to opening a dialogue for meeting the global business learning needs in the 21st century, and (2) examining the administrative requirements as a prelude for opening future research to address the service needs of learners in business education. The study will conclude with suggestions as to how we should begin building future global educational institutions in addressing the learning and service needs of their students. (original abstract)
