Abstrakty

Jednym z najważniejszych zagrożeń, przed jakim stoi od wielu lat polska gospodarka, jest bez wątpienia bariera energetyczna. Jej ostrość wynika zarówno z naturalnych uwarunkowań, jak i z błędów popełnionych w zarządzaniu przemysłem wydobywczym i energetycznym oraz z niewłaściwego kierowania całą gospodarką narodową. Pierwotne źródła bariery energetycznej tkwię w jednostronności krajowego bilansu energetycznego, która implikuje teraz i w przyszłości wysokie koszty zaopatrzenia gospodarki narodowej i ludności w paliwa i energię, Przewagę węgla w bilansie wymusza wysokie nakłady inwestycyjne nie tylko w górnictwie węglowym, lecz nakłady w infrastrukturze energetycznej, zwłaszcza w źródłach energii elektrycznej i cieplnej na paliwa stałe.
