Abstrakty

Przedmiotem zainteresowań autora badań były w szczególności te obszary górskie, w których doszło do wymiany ludności w okresie powojennym. Obszary, w których dochodzi do wymiany ludności (takie jak Karkonosze) lub zasiedlane ponownie (Bieszczady), cechują się młodą strukturą wieku ludności i dużą dynamiką zmian liczby ludności i struktury wieku. Autor chciał pokazać, czy w Bieszczadach i Karkonoszach nadal zachodzą szybkie zmiany w strukturze wieku i liczbie ludności i jaki jest w nich stopień zaawansowania procesu starzenia się ludności. Porównując Karkonosze z Bieszczadami, chciał również uwypuklić różnice demograficzne między społecznościami zamieszkującymi te regiony, wynikające z historii badanych obszarów. (fragment tekstu)

Mountain areas in Poland are completely varied as far as social and demographic factors are concerned. Not only different demographic processes but also a historical factor and location (mountain ranges stretch from the border with Germany to the border with Ukraine) have influence on it. Mountains in Poland are inhabited by two groups of people: those who permanently live there and immigrants. The aim of this report is to compare the process of aging of population in particular areas in Poland, where the people exchanged after the Second World War. Areas peopled again are connected with dynamic changes of population - after the first stage of demographic youth the process of aging follows. The process of settling in the Bieszczady and Karkonosze Mountains was totally different both when taking its character and time into consideration. This report concentrates on similarities and differences of the examined areas taking the structure of age, the dynamics of population changes, the index of demographic aging and changes of the level of demographic aging into consideration. The influence of the structure of age on dynamics of population changes and the process of aging of people was analyzed in this report. Simultaneously with the process of aging of population the structure of sex is changed, which is especially interesting in the Bieszczady Mountains where the population has been mainly male recently. This report refers to the years 1995-2009 and the studied areas are the communities or towns situated in whole or partly in the Bieszczady and Karkonosze Mountains.
