Abstrakty

Problemy związane ze starzejącym się społeczeństwem stanowią wyzwanie dla wielu dziedzin nauki i praktyki. Jednym z procesów, których efektywność zmienia się wraz z wiekiem, jest podejmowanie decyzji. Dynamika zmian spowodowanych przez proces starzenia się jest jednak różna w zależności od tego, jakiej sytuacji dotyczy. Różnice między grupami wiekowymi nie odnoszą się jedynie do jakości podjętej decyzji, ale dotyczą także preferowanych strategii czy satysfakcji z dokonanego wyboru. Przykłady teorii oraz badań uwzględniających procesy starzenia się w podejmowaniu decyzji zostały omówione w tym artykule. Praca porusza także problem podejmowania ryzyka przez osoby starsze oraz kompensacyjnej roli doświadczenia i emocji. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Dealing with the problem of aging society is nowadays a challenging area of interests for both practice and science. Cognitive decline influences the decision-making process in elderly people. Changes in effectiveness of decisions are however situation-dependent. Aging not only affects the quality of decisions, but also strategy selection and choice satisfaction. Contemporary research and theories are discussed in this paper. (original abstract)
