Abstrakty

Jedną z najbardziej dynamicznie rozwijających się grup państw jest BRICS, w której skład wchodzi Brazylia, Rosja, Indie, Chiny oraz od końca 2010 roku także Republika Południowej Afryki. Priorytetem państw należących do tego ugrupowania jest uzyskanie przewagi handlowej oraz pozycji lidera na światowej scenie gospodarczej. W warunkach zaistniałej globalnej recesji, państwa BRICS zdołały utrzymać wysoki wskaźnik poziomu rozwoju, stając się tym samym motorami wzrostu globalnej gospodarki. (fragment tekstu)

The contemporary international situation is dominated by a very strong position of developing countries. The integration process of the South has gained importance in the recent few decades. Some of the examples are i.e.: BRICS, IBSA, Mercosur or SADC. However, it is still arguable to determine whether the Emerging Giants are. going to be able to sustain their position of global economy motors. A new type of South-South cooperation is performed both on inter- and intraregional level, what proves the great scale of this economic phenomena, together with showing the growing potential of the common voice of the South. The cooperation and mutual help give an opportunity to exert influence on the international institutions, what is reflected in the world's economy and politics. (original abstract)
