Celem opracowania jest charakterystyka inicjatywy IAIS w zakresie światowego ujednolicenia ram nadzoru nad grupami ubezpieczeniowymi, zwanej ComFrame, oraz jej ocena i przeanalizowanie możliwego wpływu na rzecz zwiększenia konwergencji w sferze międzynarodowego nadzoru ubezpieczeniowego. The article presents the characteristics of ComFrame regulation proposal prepared by IAIS, which assumes unification of supervision rules over internationally active insurance groups. Its implementation could facilitate eliminating the existing differences in supervision depending on the world region and legal system. Possible influence of ComFrame on extending convergence in international insurance supervision was also analyzed as the reaction to increasing globalization of insurance markets. The author's assessment of the situation results in an observation that ComFrame implementation could turn out a complicated, laborious and spread in time process, however, an opportunity for supervision systems unification and cooperation of supervision authorities worldwide will allow for obtaining advantages for both the supervision institutions, the supervised entities and the clients of insurance services, therefore the initiative is worth its undertaking and continuing.
