Different aspect of self-dependent work of managers of middle and lower level of organization have been presented in this paper. Special atention has been paid to the estimation of the degree of self-dependence of this personnel and its change in the first period of economic reform. This estimation has been based on the options of managers of their own work and the analysis of the scale ad frequency of the interference of managers of higher level in the sphere of work of the examined managers. The general estimation of this self-dependence is of average level; the work of about 10% of the examined foremen and about 35% of managers of middle level proves the existence of interference in this sphere of their work. During the examination the existence of strong aspiration for greater sphere of self-dependence of this personnel has been noted. The conclusions presented in this paper about the statement that any proposals of organizational changes in the sphere of production should take into account the organizational situation of managers of middle level, the formen, and especially the scale of self-dependence of this group.
