Prezentowane opracowanie stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: jakie czynniki przemawiają za ustanowieniem Nowego Międzynarodowego Ładu Ekonomicznego (NMŁE), jak kraje trzeciego Świata wyobrażają sobie przyszły, lepszy od obecnego NMŁE, jakie są możliwości urzeczywistnienia programu NMŁE? The article consists of two parts. The first one presents the factors speaking for the creation of New International Economic Deal (NIED) and the original conception of NIED and the main postulates set forth within its framework which concern: the redistribution of the incomes for the benefix of the Third World, the change of the international work division, the full and lasting sovereignty of the developing countries as to the resources, the increase of the role of the Third World in the international organizations. Next the evolution of the conception of NIED in 1975-1980 has been discussed and the essential groups of postulates most frequently occurring have been presented. The other part of the article has been devoted to the estimation of the presented conception and the chances of its realization. The errors and defects of the conception itself have been discussed such as: looking for the reasons of the backwardness only in the external conditions of the development, giving up some progressive postulates for the sake of exposing the redistribution of incomes on the world scale in various forms, one-sidedness of the conception and so on. The problems of the population explosion, of securing the energy sources, wasting the means for the armaments and weakening the unity of the Third World countries in the context of their influence over the possibility of the realization of NIED program have been also presented.
