Abstrakty
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie przebiegu "europeizacji" Szwecji oraz wpływu tego procesu na poczucie tożsamości narodowej tego państwa. Najpierw omówione zostanie pojęcie "europeizacji" oraz konteksty jego użycia w nauce o stosunkach międzynarodowych. Dalej podjęta zostanie próba odpowiedzi na następujące pytania badawcze: (1) co skłoniło Szwecję do przystąpienia do Unii Europejskiej?; (2) jakie były oczekiwania tego państwa w obliczu członkostwa w UE?; (3) jak przebiegał proces akcesji?; (4) jaki wpływ na tożsamość Szwecji2 oraz działalność instytucji państwowych miało i ma jej przystąpienie do UE? Udzieliwszy odpowiedzi na te pytania omówione zostaną specyficzne cechy szwedzkiego członkostwa w UE. Scharakteryzowane zostaną zwyczaje, które udało się zachować w tym państwie, mimo ich sprzeczności z unijnym prawem. Przeanalizowane zostaną również czynniki ograniczające europeizację Szwecji. Pod koniec artykułu ukazany zostanie rozdźwięk między postawami elit i społeczeństwa w podejściu do kwestii integracji europejskiej, który uwidocznił się w latach dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku. W podsumowaniu podam argumenty potwierdzające i negujące tezę, że w wyniku integracji Szwecji z Unią Europejską ucierpiała tożsamość narodowa tego państwa. (fragment tekstu)

The main purpose of this paper is to present the process of Europeanization of Sweden and its limits. General terms concerning the phenomenon of Europeanization are explained first. The case of Sweden is analysed subsequently. The author tries to answer the following questions: (1) What factors encouraged Sweden to join the European Union?; (2) What were specific demands of Sweden before joining the EU?; (3) What is the essence of Swedish membership in the EU?; (4) How Sweden gained membership of the EU?; (5) What influence upon the identity of Sweden and the activity of state institutions exerted its accession to the EU? (6) What are the limits to Europeanization of Sweden? (original abstract)
