Przedstawiono charakterystykę nowoczesnych systemów informacyjnych zarządzania. Omówiono budowę i funkcje systemów wspomagania zarządzania. Na koniec przedstawiono zakres zastosowania systemów wspomagania zarządzania.

Modern means of the computer technique are becoming the basic element of the information decisive systems. The computer-based Information systems which, at present, process most information for the use of various undertakings are named the management aid systems. The aim of the paper is to review temporarily the functions that those systems perform in management. The paper is, on the one hand, an introduction to further studies. Then again, it may be a source of information on not very popular in Poland possibilities of using the electronic data processing. First, general characterization of the modern management information systems has been presented. Then, the definition, the general structure and the functions of the management aid systems have been given. Finally, the functions of these systems have been presented in relation to the two groups of management functions - the routine functions and the non-routine functions.(original abstract)
