Abstrakty

Celem opracowania jest ukazanie specyfiki zmian demograficznych w aglomeracji poznańskiej na tle przeobrażeń zachodzących w województwie wielkopolskim i w kraju w latach 1999-2008. Przedstawiono dynamikę i zmiany w przestrzennym zróżnicowaniu wybranych procesów demograficznych w województwie wielkopolskim w układzie gminnym (w odniesieniu do miast i obszarów wiejskich). Analizą objęto zmiany w ruchu naturalnym i migracyjnym oraz w przyroście rzeczywistym ludności. Określono typy zmian ludnościowych (według Webba). Zwrócono uwagę na korzystne i niekorzystne przeobrażenia ludnościowe w aglomeracji poznańskiej i w województwie wielkopolskim. (fragment tekstu)

The aim of the article is to present demographic changes in the Poznań agglomeration over the years 1999-2008 against the backcloth of those in Wielkopolska voivodeship and the rest of Poland. The dynamics of selected demographic processes and changes in their spatial differences in the voivodeship aby commune (urban vs. rural areas) are discussed. The analysis covers changes in vital statistics and migration, and population change. Webb's method is employed to distinguish types of demographic change. Favourable and unfavourable population tendencies in the Poznań agglomeration and Wielkopolska voivodeship are identified. The highest population increase was recorded in the rural communes directly neighbouring on Poznań. In Poznań and the agglomeration communes net migration was found to have a much greater impact on population dynamics than the natural increase. Those changes mainly result from the continuing suburbanisation of the core city and corroborate the convergence of some demographic processes occurring in the towns and communes of the agglomeration. The demographic changes in the period of socio-economic transformation of the recent years may pose a challenge to the socio-economic development of the Poznań agglomeration, especially in view of the unfavourable changes in its population structure and their long-term consequences.
