Abstrakty

The article refers to the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship or more precisely: the scientific discipline with the same name. It is determined by two essential aspects, notional and definitional analysis. The motive of taking up these issues was and is the lack of agreement among researchers concerning them. ?e reason of the differences between them is the early stadium of the development of specialization since the phenomenon is then in the exploration phase. Sticking to this trend, I have conducted the review of about 50 definitions of the phenomenon and I have taken up the analysis of their methodology and etymology of the notion. ?e result of the research is the ascertainment that the definitions do not reflect fully the nature of the phenomenon and that the its reason is their lack of precision. Therefore, in order to decrease the risk of limiting the access to the phenomenon, I recommend restraining in making such categorical opinions. (original abstract)
