Abstrakty

Australia należy do najbardziej rozwiniętych i otwartych gospodarek świata. Jest ważnym eksporterem surowców i artykułów rolnych oraz importerem towarów przemysłowych. Wśród głównych partnerów handlowych znajdują się kraje Azji Wschodniej, Unia Europejska i Stany Zjednoczone. Zwraca uwagę zmniejszający się udział UE na korzyść krajów azjatyckich, co wpisuje się w trwający już od dekady "wiek Azji". Nadal jednak UE pozostaje ważnym partnerem handlowym, zwłaszcza jako źródło importu Australii. Na tym tle ciekawie prezentuje się wymiana handlowa Australii i Polski, a szczególnie znaczny wzrost polskiego eksportu i bardzo wysoki dodatni bilans handlowy Polski. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie tendencji w polsko-australijskiej wymianie handlowej na tle sytuacji gospodarki Australii oraz zasygnalizowanie czynników determinujących te obroty. Australia is an open and well developed economy. Trade has fuelled a rapid expansion of Australian economy. Australia is a major exporter of minerals and agricultural products and importer of manufactured products. East Asia, European Union and the United States are among major trading partners. It should be noted an increasing role of Asian countries ("Asian Century") in Australian trade relations and relative losses of other regions, especially the EU-27. Thus, it is worth examining Poland-Australia trade relations and their determinants, having in mind Polish trade balance surplus. (original abstract)
