Abstrakty
W wielu publikacjach i wypowiedziach daje się zauważyć brak rozeznania w zakresie stosowania terminów private equity i venture capital. Co więcej, taka sytuacja występuje nie tylko w wypowiedziach osób w sposób luźny związanych z tą branżą, lecz również wśród tych, którzy z racji zawodowej przeszłości czy prezentowanych zainteresowań powinny w sposób precyzyjny formułować swe myśli. Okazuje się, że problem ma swe korzenie w historii finansów. W konsekwencji istnieje duża dowolność interpretacji po obu stronach Oceanu Atlantyckiego. Opracowanie ma na celu dokonać uporządkowania stanowisk i opinii na te tematy. (abstrakt oryginalny)
Lack of insight into proper using terms private equity and venture capital is often noticed in many publications and statements. What's more such a situation often appears in statements of persons professionally close to private equity and venture capital industry, who particularly should be interested in precise expressing one's thoughts. Misunderstandings mentioned above seem to have their origins in history of finance. It implies a wide variety of understanding and using discussed terms worldwide. This paper is an attempt to define private equity and venture capital and put opinions con- cerning this area in order. (original abstract)
